About linking

Linking helps us distribute the valuable information about adoption  to others who could use it. The www.openadoption.org site has come a long way in the last 10 years and all of it was through word of mouth and the advocacy of those who came here and told their friends, posted the site on forums, and linked to it from their web pages. We have never spent any money on promotion. Adoptions will be healthier for all those involved when people learn about the issues identified here.

You can link to any page in the site if it fits your purposes better.

Linking in forums

Forums deal with links in the text of messages differently. The most common way to link would be to add the complete web address including "http://". (example: http://www.openadoption.com). This information can be copied from your browser when on the page you wish to link to.
Some forums will allow you to post the html examples below.

Many forums will allow you to place links in your signature and therefore appear on all of your post. We ask that you note this as a "link of interest" or "suggested links"  (etc...) so as to not confuse people that you are associated with the sites management.
